Since I am quarantined liked everyone else, I miss interacting with other writers, discussing plots, characters and the strange twists that our stories sometimes make. A writer friend and I decided to be try using our computers to make connections. Right now, we have a writer from Louisiana, a narrator for audio books from Louisiana, and four of us from North Florida.
Today will be our third meeting. So far, it has been great. Everyone gets to read from whatever they are working on, four page limit, then we discuss the passages. The last part of the meeting is devoted to the business aspect of writing. So much fun.

In kindergarten, her teacher scolded her for telling her classmates she had flown across the sky by clinging to the flapping tail of a soaring kite. However, her imagination could not be quieted. Today she continues to tell stories. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Florida Writers Associations. She is the recipient of their Royal Palm Literary Award for her young adult stories. You can often find her barefoot on the beach flying kites.
