My day starts early on the Farm. Unseasonably cold for Christmas in Florida this year so I am bundling up when the sun rises enough for me to go out to check on the animals and to feed them. Right now it’s time to get the presents under the tree. The house is quiet and still but the lights are gleaming, shooting prisms of color over the crystals and ornaments. The year is coming to a close. I can’t help but reflect on those things, those special gifts that won’t fit under the tree.
The health of all my friends and family. So far, no one has lost a job or caught the virus. No ribbon or wrapping paper is wide enough to curl around that gift.
The hope that is growing worldwide that we may be able to stop and contain this virus that has cost so many lives.
No matter what I find under the tree today, these two matter the most to me.
From my home to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays Everyone!
