Starting the week off right. Celebrating-Finished First Draft of Truth Wins, Book 3 of the Truth Series!!
So many interruptions this year and Sunday was no exception. A leaking bathroom sink in the morning delayed the start of the finish. An entire house of interconnected fire alarms going off for four hours of beep…beep…beep while I was writing the last ten pages was a challenge. I put the last period on the book about twenty minutes before someone came to figure out what was causing all the noise and to finally shut the broken part of the system down.
Truth Wins is a challenge for so many reasons.
The plot is a bit tricky and, for me as a writer who loves a challenge, a delight to take on. Felicity and company are begining to show me many faces. Some I knew were coming and some surprises. Taranda is a good example. We met her in Truth Tells, Book 2 of the Truth Series.
She is a pilot with nerves of titanium. Truth Wins, Back 3 gives us the back story of her connection to Felicity. Felicity rescued her from the kiddie brothel. She educated her and helped Taranda obtain her dream of becoming a pilot. When a threat to Skye/Sea is discovered by accident, the entire Farm is on alert. Code Blue is invoked.
Corruption at the highest levels of politics is the cause and Skye/Sea is involved. A world gone mad with anger, frustration and violence create a volatile mix. The wrong solution for punishment of the culprits is gasoline on a bonfire. Justice must be served. But how?
Felicity has to make a choice.
This writer was present when Felicty hatches her complex plan for handing out justice. The fire alarms were still going off over ny head and the sink was still leaking when I keyed in that last period.
