So many readers have asked me if I use real people as models for my characters. The answer is no. However, the Live Oak Series is based in Live Oak and the town is real. There is a sense of family and community here. When a need arises, a crisis hits, the community comes together, reaching out to each other. That bedrock spirit lives in the series, for the characters and for each story as it unfolds. Thought you might enjoy some photos of the real Live Oak.
