Retrospective To Begin 2023

Retrospective to begin 2023 is how I have always started each new year.

Only the number of the year changes. In my writing career, I have found this habit to be most helpful. I love writing series no matter what the genre because I rarely want to say good-bye to any of my characters, even the villains.

However, in this year’s look back, I see five books in the Live Oak Series. That is a record for me. Hidden Fire, my current project, will be Book 6. Tina just has to have her story. I thought this might be the last book of the series, but I have had a number of requests for Honey’s book. I’m still deciding on that one.

Since all my characters are very real to me, they have a New Year’s message for you.

Moving on to the Pippa Series.

The main character in this series has always been a favorite. I was delighted to learn that she is still relevant and popular now. With requests for copies of a number of her titles, I am slowly but surely reprinting in enhanced versions each of her books.

Pippa is known for her mischief making and she doesn’t stop with her friends. She has managed to entangle me in her web. I had to learn the thrill and the agony of working with a Dragon program to move her stories from print to the computer. No, you don’t want to know how many new clean curses I managed to create in that endeavor. There is, at least, a one more book to come in 2023 or maybe two.

The newest member of the series gang is the Truth Series.

Action/ Adventure is a brand new genre for me and I am having a great time exploring its potential and possibilities. The world of returning veterans and the problems they face is just part of the background for the main characters.

There are number of veterans in my family, from my father who served in  World War II to my husband during the Vietnam War. Then add the state of the world today and I had a huge volume of  experiences from which to choose for plots and characters. Research is a challenge but youtube has proven to be a great friend.
